What this extension does

Exchange Balance Watcher is a read-only balance viewer for Binance, Bybit and OKX. You provide an API key for one of these exchanges, and the extension shows your non-zero account balances.

What data is collected

The extension stores, locally in your own browser (chrome.storage.local) only:

• The exchange API key, secret and (for OKX) passphrase you type in
• Which exchange you last selected

This data never leaves your device except in direct, signed HTTPS requests to the exchange you selected (Binance, Bybit or OKX), to retrieve your account balance. It is never sent to the extension developer, to any analytics service, or to any third party.

What the extension does NOT do

• It does not call any trading, order, transfer or withdrawal endpoint. Only account/wallet-balance (read) endpoints are used.
• It does not collect your browsing history, page content, or any data from websites you visit.
• It does not run any server, and the developer has no access to your API keys or balances.

Your control over this data

You can remove stored keys at any time by clearing the input fields and reconnecting, or by removing the extension, which deletes all data stored in chrome.storage.local for it.

Recommendation: create an API key with read-only permission on your exchange, and explicitly disable withdrawal and trading permissions on that key, so that even if the key were ever exposed, it could not be used to move funds.
